![]() ![]() What happens when the Sage dude wears a par of G3's and the IMX dude wears a pair of G4's? It's a well known fact that G4 owners will always out fish the G3 owners. Of course, if the guy who got the Sage didn't have to pay the 9% sales tax, that would indeed make him a better fisherman. The guy who got 50% off his $600 Sage still won't be better than guy who picked up his IMX for $325. ![]() Thell, by that logic, the guy with a $600 sage is gonna be a better angler by default than you and your GLX.ĭepends on how much of a discount both parties received. I probably fished that rod for 20 hours this weekend and it was a hell of a lot more comfortable than fishing with a rod that weighs double. With 4 1141's in the rod rack (GL2, 2x G元, GLX) my buddy picked through them and handed me the GLX based on weight alone. It was pitch black and I as looking for my headlamp. The other day we launched the boat around 6:45 in the morning. Or that your neoprene waders are just as comfortable as those Zipper front Simms. If you want to fish with a turd thats fine, but dont act like your $60 berkley or your $100 G1000 is the same as $400 Loomis. You guys and your cheap ass rods crack me up. Ill never pay full price for any loomis, but i do like the rods. Ive been saying that for the last 3 years and have gotten all but 2 of my buddies to switch to a "better for the price rod". I don't know its like those guys you see wearing those Simms G4 or G3 waders that cost like $450.to me thats totally laughable and then the $250 for the Simms boots.I mean 3 more sets like that and you got yourself almost a new drift boat.sundry Items are disposable not an investment. I think I paid $59 for that IM7 at Joe's on sale and it rocks when paired with my Shimano fj. Among my expensive rods I have a Berkley IM7 9'6" spinner that I actually prefer over my G1000 lamiglas. I think I feel that the more money should be spent on a high quality reel than a rod that hardly anyone of us can feel the actual differance on. Granted I am in no means bashing on Loomis. Yeah $310 for a 10"6 rod with a pic of a float on it? HAHAAH yeah ok I'll buy that.not. In my opinion the lamiglas cert pro's and the St Croix avids are exactly what you get for your $230-a damn good rod.those Loomis steelhead series rods are a straight up gimmick (as are most of thier rods with the cute little pictures on them). After you buy that G-loomis, close your eyes when you are fishing and try and trick yourself into thinking you can feel the diferance between that rod and either a Lamiglas cert pro or a St Coix avid. ![]()
